Challenge: AstraZeneca needed additional space in its existing building – and they needed to build up not out. Since the new space would serve as the facility’s new top floor, the interior and exterior had to mirror the appearance and quality of the original building. A zoned HVAC system and dry sprinkler system were required and the addition had to be both cost effective and energy efficient.

Modular Solution: Vanguard Modular constructed a permanent new third floor for AstraZeneca’s facility. The interior and exterior of the addition compliment the original building and Vanguard Modular’s solution saved AstraZeneca about 50% compared to traditional construction. A gas-fired HVAC system
and dry sprinkler were installed and the new space exceeds state energy requirements.
