Town of Red Hook Government Offices
Red Hook, New York |
 |
“We are most satisfied
with the job you and your company have done...construction
followed a strict time
schedule, specifications were followed to the letter...with a minimum
of disruption to the daily operation of our Town Government.”
John J. Gilfeather,
Supervisor
Town of Red Hook, New York |

Challenge: For starters,
Red Hook’s
Town Hall needed an addition to handle overcrowding, and also,
the new space would serve as an emergency command center in the
event of a power outage
during natural disasters. Every component of the new space had
to align precisely with the existing building and it had to be
both
cost effective and energy efficient.
Modular Solution: To save time
and money, Vanguard Modular constructed and painted three modules
in the factory. Each aligned perfectly
with the existing building, matching interior finishes, ceiling
heights as well as the exterior. The result? A seamless appearance.
Vanguard
Modular used superior energy effective construction materials
to help the building operate efficiently despite the notoriously
challenging
weather conditions in upstate New York. |

York County Jail

“Schiavi’s design team was able to customize the
building to meet
both our immediate and long-range needs with a product that will
last. Their staff was professional and responsive before and after
installation. It was nice to know they were only a phone call away.”
Major Michael Vitiello
Jail Administrator
York County Jail, Phase 2

Challenge: “Phase 2” was an addition to “Phase
1”, a 30 bed modular
cellblock completed in 2001. Because of severe overcrowding, additional
cells could not wait for the new, permanent jail to be completed.
Modular Solution: After exploring
many options, cost and logistics led to a modular solution with
3410 sq. ft. of medium security
cell space and 2898 sq. ft. of Administrative/Program space. This
60 bed
facility was
constructed with 30 cells, day space, interview space, bathrooms
and officer’s observation and control station. It was connected
to the Phase 1 building with a site-built connector. It joins a
Schiavi supplied 42' x 69' office complex/program building with
offices,
bathrooms, kitchenette, reception and large open areas. When the
new permanent facility is ready, Phases 1 and 2 will become a required
Pre-Release Center. |
