Vanguard Modular Buidling Systems receives two First
Place awards from MBI

Vanguard Modular Buidling Systems, a leading provider of modular
building solutions, had the honor of receiving two First Place
awards at the 2008 Modular Building Institute (MBI) annual convention
held this year in Bonita Springs, Florida. These awards were presented
to Vanguard Modular in the categories of Renovated Reuse: Greatest
Renovation: over 10,000 square feet and Temporary: Office: over
5,000 square feet.
The First Place award for Renovated Reuse over 10,000 square feet
was awarded to VMBS for three dormitory buildings built for Nichols
College in Dudley Massachusetts. These buildings ranged in size
from 3,900 square feet to 5,800 square feet. Vanguard Modular recycled
2 science lab classrooms from a 2003 MBI Awards of Distinction
Best Entry winner, Deerfield Academy and an additional classroom
from another project to create the dormitory buildings.
Vanguard Modular also received a First Place award for a Temporary
Office over 5,000 square feet. This project was a large office
complex built for Worcester State College. This project was designed
to fit an unusual, narrow site. The manufacturer of the modules
was Mark Line Industries, headquartered in Bristol, Indiana.
Both projects were designed and supervised by the Danvers, MA
Vanguard Modular team of Bob D’Angelo, Major Project Sales,
Bill Lavoie, Project Manager and Renee Santeusanio, Administrative
Support.
